Austin 40 under 40

On the eve of Fresh Chefs eighth year anniversary, I was honored to receive an Austin 40 Under 40 nomination in the Non-Profit Service category.  I am thrilled to be recognized alongside so many fellow citizens who are using their influence and skill to advocate for change. 

To be clear: while the final nomination list was a surprise (whoever nominated me, thank you!), you had to complete an application to be considered. It was like applying for a job, but one you had no question about whether or not you were qualified. That was new for me - and not because I’m not accomplished, but because of the incessant feeling of always having just a little bit more to prove in order to stand firm in my abilities. 

New goal: envision a life where all job applications feel like applying for an Austin 40 Under 40 nomination.
