In 2018, months before I welcomed our strong Zuri to the world, I embarked on a 

six-month long fellowship with New Leaders Council. New Leaders Council is creating a national pipeline of progressive leaders that will run for office, lead cities, non-profits, and advocate for social justice from wherever they occupy. Beyond the incredible training I received, I also gained a new family of twenty wild social justice agitators. Kelsey Hitchingham, the Founder and Executive Director at Hitchingham Group and the Engaging Podcast Austin, is my sister, co-conspirator, and a force.
