lifelong learner

I am proof that an education can change one’s life trajectory. College taught me how to think for myself. It equipped me with an analytical skill set to formulate strong policy, language to communicate effectively, and the theoretical framework to organize my interests and goals. My  graduate research addressed the gaps in services for youth who have aged out of the foster care system and I spent time working with young women and girls in the U.S. Caribbean, empowering them with tools and education to take control of their bodies and reproductive rights. My continued trainings and professional development have deepened my understandings of non-profit management, civic leadership, effective writing, and cultural fluency.
